| Welcome to Performance Systems International Inc. !!! |
| |
| It has been a long time since my last update to this page!! I decided to go back to work on screen and this time completely fix it.
My first step is to generate some documentation aided by the "doxygen" tool, I will add some javadoc as a second step to make the documentation clearer.
At this point the "base" documentation is available online following this link
An old document which was made by me on Jan 24 2004 showing the steps I followed to compile the latest version (4.0.2) on Cygwin is still available here: screenchanges_0.pdf

| Screen is a very interesting GNU tool. It allows you to multiplex several text cygwin or DOS program in a single window (rxvt, xtem or cmd.exe)
In this page you will be able to find a compiled version of it (v 3.9.10) and the modified source |
| |
| Screen was compiled (and tested) on this platform: |
$ uname -a
CYGWIN_98-4.10 R0KKETTA 1.3.4(0.47/3/2) 2001-11-07 13:36 i686 unknown
| Cygwin is required. A better desription of Screen is available at the GNU Site |
| |
| Download the executable: screen.exe |
| The bzip2`d sources: screen-3.9.10.tar.bz2 |
| There is an highly technical discussion list on yahoo groups: gnu-screen |
| |
| Problems |
- Resuming a detached session does not yet work completely, it may work under some circumstances
- If you receive an error about a non-existant /etc/ttys just creat an empty file with that name: touch /etc/ttys
